Become a Junior Engineer in Quality Control with Irving Shipbuilding. You'll lead quality metrics and improvement initiatives while supporting various engineering processes in a full time, in-office capacity.
As a Junior Engineer, you will coordinate quality data metrics and foster process improvements in ship repair and AOPS. Your role will involve data analytics, root cause analysis, and executing quality inspections while collaborating with production teams. You'll ensure that goals are met on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and automate quality metrics for projects
• Communicate with Team Leader for workflow improvements
• Foster process improvements internally and externally
• Support Inspection and Test Plans effectively
• Conduct weekly meetings with production stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Engineering or relevant field
• 2-5 years experience in quality assurance
• Knowledge of shipbuilding methodologies
• Familiarity with lean/six sigma methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
