RioCan is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to enhance our financial team at the Lawrence Allen Centre. Utilize your accounting skills to manage essential portfolios effectively.
In this role, reporting directly to the Manager of Property Accounting, you'll be responsible for maintaining financial records and preparing essential reports. Your experience in Property Accounting and ability to navigate Yardi will be critical for success. You will also assist in resolving tenant-related financial issues, emphasizing collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit journal entries for various account activities
• Approve and code invoices and expenses
• Liaise with asset management for tenant revenue accruals
• Execute month-end consolidation and budget adjustments
• Facilitate internal audits and reporting
Requirements:
• Educational credential in Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years’ experience in Property Accounting
• Knowledge of Yardi is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid analytical and interpersonal skills
