Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Location: Winnipeg or Calgary Role Overview We are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to serve as a key partner to the Corporate Controller within the finance function. This role is ideal for an accountant who thrives on complex accounting, problem-solving, and process improvement. The Senior Accountant will own critical accounting areas across the business, support month-end and year-end close, take the lead on complex transactions and analyses, and help elevate the overall quality, timeliness, and insight of financial reporting. This role combines strong technical accounting and reporting with hands‑on operational accounting, while progressively expanding scope and leadership. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Close Own and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis across multiple entities.



Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving complex variances. Ensure accurate accounting for leasing activity, including current bookings, amendments, terminations, commissions, early payouts, and related amortization schedules. Ensure all reconciliations and reporting outputs are complete and fully tied prior to Controller review. Support preparation of ASPE-compliant financial statements, notes, and supporting working papers. Assist with year-end audit, acting as a primary finance contact for auditors on assigned areas. Oversee and review daily transactional activity (AR, AP, cash, customer payments, chargebacks), ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and policy compliance. Support or review:
