REMCAN is looking for enthusiastic candidates to fill Railway Labourer positions for 2026 across Canada. Successful applicants will work within a dedicated team in the Track Maintenance department, focusing on crucial railway projects and emergency repairs. The role requires physical endurance, teamwork, and a commitment to safety in various working conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct moderate to heavy physical labour on the railway • Replace and repair railway track elements like ties and rails • Use hand and power tools effectively • Respond to on-call emergencies and track outages • Maintain adherence to REMCAN's safety policies
Requirements: • At least 1-year labour experience preferred • Must possess a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license • Comply with the eRailSafe Canada system • Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening • First Aid or safety training experience considered an asset
