JOB PURPOSE The Medical Laboratory Technologist 3 is responsible for performing routine and specialized clinical and technical work for a specific area or areas. This position may include supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology, holding a practicing (non-temporary) license and in good standing with the Recent Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists
A minimum of three (3) years of progressive related experience. Demonstrated supervisory abilities may be required.
Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to perform the duties of the position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Medical Laboratory Technologist 3 is responsible for:
Performing routine and specialized procedures and/or supervising this work
Providing clinical consultations and guidance
Training and providing support to staff
Monitoring quality control and troubleshooting problems
Developing, evaluating and implementing procedures and equipment
Developing and monitoring maintenance programs
Inventory Control
