Senior Staff Accountant - Compilation & Tax Public Practice, Vancouver Island, B.C. - Hybrid $65,000-$90,000/year

Our public practice client is a respected CPA firm serving the North Island for over 50 years. We're seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team and work with a diverse group of long-standing clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead complex compilation engagements using CaseWare

Prepare T2, T1, and T3 tax returns

Review bookkeeping and junior staff work

Handle complex bookkeeping, GST/PST, and reconciliations

Assist with CRA requests, audits, and client advisory

Manage client files and deadlines independently

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of Canadian public practice experience

Accounting diploma or degree

CPA, final-stage CFE writer,



or experienced senior accounting technician

Strong CaseWare and Taxprep experience

Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills

What we offer:

35-hour work week

for 10 months of the year
