As a Post Majority Care Worker, you will ensure that young adults receive appropriate support from a legal and cultural standpoint. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent experience and 1-2 years of related service with children, specifically focusing on Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate care and support services for youth aging out • Ensure culturally appropriate well-being practices for First Nations youth • Maintain compliance with the Child Youth and Family Services Act • Collaborate effectively with community resources and stakeholders • Provide comprehensive case management for individuals in transition
Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or relevant field preferred • At least 1 year of experience working directly with children • Strong understanding of Indigenous community needs • Familiarity with industry legislation and child welfare customs • Experience navigating youth transitions from care
