Accounting Clerk role open now in SE Calgary! Start ASAP, $23/hour! Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Accounting Clerk in the retail sector in Calgary, Alberta.

The Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting support tasks, including reconciliations, expense and claim processing, accounts receivable activities, and general ledger support, in line with established procedures and deadlines.

The role requires regular communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm

Fully onsite, office in SE Calgary

Contract duration: 2 months with high chance of extension

Responsibilities

- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and GL accounts
- Process AR transactions, deposits, and daily receipts
- Support AR functions (eComm, EFT, credit card reconciliations, discrepancies)




- Assist AP tasks, including voucher entry and invoice support
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain files, distribute mail, and support administrative tasks
- Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Support system improvements, reporting, and ad hoc accounting duties

Requirements

- Minimum 6 months of accounting or related experience
- Experience with general accounting practices preferred
- Proficient in Excel; working knowledge of Word
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Adaptable to changing priorities and challenges
