This role reports to the Manager of Classroom Technical Infrastructure in the Computing and Communication Services division. The technician is essential for providing in office support, routine maintenance, and technical assistance in classrooms, lecture halls, and event spaces. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills and a keen understanding of AV equipment usage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure AV equipment including projectors and microphones • Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on AV systems • Provide first-level support and training to faculty and staff • Assist with AV setups for campus events and equipment transport • Collaborate with IT on AV upgrades and renovations
Requirements: • Two-year College Diploma in a related field • 1-2 years AV setup experience, educational preferred • Familiar with AV control systems and conferencing platforms • Valid G-Class Driver's License • CTS certification preferred within one year
