Join the agile team at British Columbia Rapid Transit Company as a Senior Engineer focused on enhancing the Expo and Millennium SkyTrain Lines. This position is based on-site in Burnaby, contributing directly to transit improvements.
With a legacy of over 35 years, BCRTC operates one of the world’s longest fully-automated rapid transit systems. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include managing engineering projects related to Rolling Stock and maintaining compliance with established standards in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and evaluate engineering standards and procedures
• Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems
• Facilitate project reporting and deliverable management




• Foster stakeholder relationships to achieve project goals
• Oversee compliance with railway operation standards
Requirements:
• University degree in Engineering and relevant professional designation
• At least eight years of senior engineering experience
• Strong grasp of rail industry practices
• Advanced skills in project management and time management
• Bonus for knowledge of safety systems or HVAC
Play a key role in transforming transit infrastructure at BCRTC, ensuring a lasting impact on Metro Vancouver’s transportation network.
