The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community at large. Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best. We are seeking creative, dynamic, committed teachers to join our Secondary Occasional Teacher (OT) Roster
We are looking for Certified Occasional Teachers to join our Secondary OT Roster (Grades 9-12). Occasional Teachers replace short term absences in our schools and are an integral part of our district. Qualifications Must be in valuable standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
Individuals with a pending OCT certificate should proceed with submitting their application
Must hold both Intermediate and Senior qualifications Must hold two (2) teachable subjects (which exist within the OCDSB)
Individuals with French and/or Tech qualifications are only required to have the one teachable subject in both Intermediate and Senior
Local residency is a mandatory requirement for onboarding. Successful candidates must reside in the Ottawa or surrounding area or be willing to relocate within 60 days from the date of offer, and must be available to begin accepting assignmentsupon the completion of the onboarding process.
