St. Michaels University School is looking for a skilled Grounds Worker to maintain our stunning outdoor areas. This full time role focuses on leveraging horticultural knowledge for campus beautification.
As a Grounds Worker, you'll be integral to our Maintenance team, directly reporting to the Grounds Supervisor. The ideal candidate will combine horticulture expertise with a passion for outdoor work, maintaining gardens and landscapes year-round in various weather conditions. Your role will help create an inviting atmosphere for our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Care for landscapes, lawns, and gardens, enhancing their beauty
• Manage lawn care tasks such as fertilization and mowing
• Identify and treat plant health issues and pests




• Operate various landscaping equipment efficiently
• Assist with beautification projects and seasonal maintenance
Requirements:
• Horticulture diploma, certificate, or degree
• Two years of practical horticulture or landscape experience
• Strong skills in plant identification and management
• Excellent communication abilities
• Physically capable of demanding outdoor work
