Jardeg is recruiting for aHeavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice for upcoming work at the Saskatoon Shop and Yard, located inSaskatoon, Sk . The schedule for this position is 5 days on, 2 days off, day shift,working 8-10 hours per day.Please note there is no LOA or Travel offered. Candidates local to Saskatoon area will be considered.

The Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment. Heavy lifting is required.

Responsibilities

Hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment and sizes including loaders, excavators, skid steers, lifting equipment like zoom booms, etc.

- Large scale overhauls and rebuilds.
- Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Preventive maintenance and services.
- Complete work according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions.




- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.

Registered Apprentice (2nd Year to 4th year) in Heavy Duty Mechanic trade

Experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and trucks.
