About The Position The Community Development Corporation for Sault & Area is seeking an organized, motivated, and community-minded Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a regional business support program for workers, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized businesses impacted by tariffs and changing market conditions. Working closely with the Executive Director and Loans Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for client intake, program administration, participant communications, and the coordination of training, workshops, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and active program participants.
Coordinate client intake, applications, appointments, documentation, follow-up, and referrals.
Provide explicit information about program eligibility, funding, financing, training, and available business supports.
Assist clients in gathering required documentation, including proof of layoff or evidence of tariff-related impacts on existing businesses.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and well-organized participant files, databases, and program records.
Support with program administration, reporting, tracking, and monitoring of program activities and outcomes.
Coordinate workshops, training sessions, information sessions,
and networking or business development events.
Support outreach activities to ensure eligible individuals, businesses, and community partners are aware of available services.
Help identify and reduce barriers to participation by offering flexible and accessible approaches to program delivery.
Required Skills
Post-secondary education in business, economic development, finance, community development, or a related field.
Experience in small business support, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, economic development, program administration, or program delivery.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse client groups.
A client-focused, professional, and collaborative approach.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and confidential information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common digital communication and virtual meeting platforms.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Requirements Assets include experience with program delivery, small business financing or lending, entrepreneurship services, workshop/event coordination, or working with individuals and businesses affected by layoffs or economic disruption.
