Become a Community Support Worker in Vancouver with the Developmental Disabilities Association, where you will support clients in achieving personal independence. This full-time position focuses on enhancing emotional, social, and daily living skills.
In this role, you will guide clients in a variety of activities tailored to promote their individual abilities while actively participating in their service plans. Your guidance will play an essential role in fostering a supportive community where clients with developmental disabilities can flourish through engaging programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with daily life skills and personal care
• Develop and implement individual service plans
• Lead tailored programming to engage clients
• Create an inclusive and supportive program workplace
• Provide outreach and community-based services
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Social Services or similar
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience required
• Capable of lifting and transferring clients safely
• Class 5 Driver’s License necessary
• First Aid/CPR certification needed
Facilitate meaningful experiences for clients by providing exceptional support and personalized care in their development journey.
