Full-Time Live-In Nanny & Household SupportKalamalka Lake | Lake Country, BCWe are looking for a warm, capable and dependable person for a full-time, long-term family support position on beautiful Kalamalka Lake.The role primarily combines childcare for our one-year-old baby and housekeeping across two neighbouring homes, along with errands, occasional driving for our older children, and light practical support for an independent 80-year-old grandmother.Grandma is mobile and highly independent. She is not looking for a companion or someone to supervise her. Most work in her home will involve housekeeping and light household tasks, with occasional additional help when she asks for it. This may sometimes include changing soiled bedding, cleaning/sanitizing a commode, or helping with clean-up after an occasional continence-related accident.Our baby spends lots of time with Grandma, so some childcare time will naturally be spent with baby and Grandma together. Grandma loves being with the baby but can no longer do all of the lifting and physical care.Grandma also usually spends part of the winter in Borrego Springs, so the balance of the role may shift seasonally.ResponsibilitiesCaring for and engaging our one-year-old babyHousekeeping and laundry across two homesGeneral tidying and organizationLight meal preparationGrocery shopping and errandsOccasional transportation for older childrenLight household support for GrandmaOccasional practical/personal assistance when neededThis is a full time position, but no single part of the role is full-time.



Right now it will be weighted mainly toward childcare and housekeeping. Over time, as our youngest grows and needs less hands-on care, we expect Grandma may need more support. We hope to find someone who can grow with the role long-term.Live-In AccommodationFor the right person, beautiful live-in accommodation is available in Grandma's lakefront home, just steps from the water.The accommodation is not in our family home with the children. The lower level of Grandma's home has a separate living area with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge.
