Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Science Tutor. The Science Tutor will provide one-on-one instruction in subjects such as general science, biology, chemistry, and physics, depending on expertise. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering tailored lessons, explaining scientific concepts in clear and relatable ways, assigning and reviewing practice work, and monitoring student progress. The role may also involve using online learning platforms, maintaining accurate session records

Qualifications





- Strong knowledge of core science subjects (e.g., general science, biology, chemistry, physics) and the ability to explain concepts at middle and high school levels.
- Experience with tutoring, teaching, or academic support, including lesson planning, progress tracking, and adapting instruction to different learning styles.
- Proficiency with remote teaching tools and digital platforms (video conferencing, online whiteboards, learning management systems).
- Clear, patient, and encouraging communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate learners.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple students, schedules, and documentation responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Education, Science, or a related field; advanced coursework in STEM is a plus.
