Position Information Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative student for a computer programming intern position. As a Computer Programming Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experts at CIM - TAC on various projects aimed at pushing the boundaries of innovation in technology and product design, particularly within the Para sport innovation landscape.

Position Responsibilities

Development and implementation of software and hardware solutions for innovative sport equipment measurement processes and XR sport program development.

Development and implementation of apps & dashboards for IoT systems

Collaborate with project teams to design, test, and optimize software and hardware applications.

Conduct data analysis and assist in generating insights to drive decision-making.

Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from (within 1 year), a Computer Programming diploma or degree program, or similar.

Robust understanding of programming and software development concepts, including game design.

Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).

Strong interest in learning the hardware side of development.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.





Passion for innovation and eagerness to learn about emerging technologies in manufacturing, design, game development and instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work in person at Red Deer Polytechnic, from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Proven strong work ethic, attendance record and productivity in an independent work environment demonstrated through previous employment, education, or volunteer experience.

Proven ability to work within a team and communicate positively supporting new and different ideas.

Ability to complete work duties such as sitting, standing, and/ light physical effort over modest periods of time, with some opportunity for relief and task variety. The work may involve movement of average weight material with periodic requirements to lift heavier objects.

Salary or Hourly? Hourly

Salary $29.51 per hour

Benefits and Compensation Information An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
