Worker's Compensation Clerk Department: Transit Designated Work Location: 421 Osborne St. Position Type: Permanent, Full-time Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday Salary: $1,798.30 - $2,105.55 bi-weekly as per the Clerk B Classification within the C.U.P.E Collective Agreement. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Clerk, the Worker's Compensation Clerk provides administrative support for workers' compensation, MPI claims, and related timekeeping functions. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, collecting and verifying information, performing calculations, and corresponding with third-party providers and management regarding worker abilities. Additionally, the Worker's Compensation Clerk enters injury and incident data within PeopleSoft, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. As The Worker's Compensation Clerk , You Will
Perform all worker's compensation and MPI related administrative support tasks, data entryand timekeeping function for assigned areas including electronic and paper filing, gathering information, research, calculations, timekeeping, working with third parties and management for restriction updates. Enter injury report data into the Health and Safety module within PeopleSoft. Perform other related duties, as assigned. Your Education And Qualifications Include
High school graduation/GED,
or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of 2 years' experience providing administrative support. Experience with Safety, or WCB related work, would be an asset. Experience working independently with minimal supervision, working efficiently and ensuring all deadlines is scheduled and met. Experience operating using Microsoft Office Word (Basic), Excel (Basic), Outlook, and various software applications. Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Ability to maintain accurate records and files. Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with matters discreetly. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, external contacts and the public. Knowledge of the PeopleSoft system would be an asset. Previous timekeeping and data entry experience would be an asset.
