About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Employment Lawyer with 3–5 years of post-call experience to join a growing employee-side employment law practice. This role is ideal for a lawyer who is passionate about advocating for employees and has experience managing a broad range of employment-related matters from initial consultation through resolution.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients facing workplace issues and represent employees in negotiations, mediations, litigation, and administrative proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

Advise and represent employees on a wide range of workplace matters, including:

Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, and written submissions.

Manage files independently through various stages of litigation and dispute resolution.

Represent clients before courts, tribunals, mediations, and negotiations.

Draft legal opinions, correspondence, settlement agreements, and other employment-related documents.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

Collaborate with colleagues on complex employment and labour law matters.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

3–5 years of experience practicing employment law,



with significant exposure to employee-side matters.

Strong knowledge of employment legislation, human rights legislation, and relevant case law.

Proven experience handling wrongful dismissal, human rights, and workplace dispute matters.

Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong client-service mindset and ability to build rapport with individuals facing challenging workplace situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and other employment-related tribunals.

Experience conducting mediations and settlement negotiations.

Portable practice or business development aptitude considered an asset.
