Join Keewatin-Patricia District School Board as a Long Term Occasional Teacher at Sioux North High School. This full-time position spans from August 31 until the current teacher returns, but extends no later than June 25, 2027.
KPDSB serves a diverse range of approximately 5,000 students in Northwestern Ontario. Candidates must hold an OCT Certificate with a preference for those experienced in Intermediate/Senior and Construction education. Understanding Indigenous cultures and contemporary education strategies will enrich your teaching practice.
Key Responsibilities: • Teach engaging lessons reflecting Ontario’s educational standards • Collaborate with educational partners and fellow staff • Support First Nations, Inuit,
and Metis student initiatives • Implement innovative teaching and learning strategies • Ensure a culturally responsive educational setting
Requirements: • Valid OCT Certificate with appropriate teaching qualifications • Knowledge of Ontario Curriculum and teaching strategies • Experience working with Indigenous communities and students • Excellent organizational and leadership skills • Compliance with Vulnerable Sector Check policy
