As part of the PHAR MH/Geriatrics/Surgical department, the Pharmacist will provide essential pharmaceutical care to both inpatients and outpatients. With a focus on patient counseling, drug utilization reviews, and mentoring students, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes while participating in clinical pharmacy research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients
• Conduct medication monitoring and patient counseling
• Mentor pharmacy students in clinical settings
• Liaise with Community Pharmacists for patient support
• Engage in clinical pharmacy research projects
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized School of Pharmacy
• Eligible for registration with Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Solid communication skills and teaching ability
