Bridgemans Bistro is looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our team and take ownership of the day-to-day success of the restaurant. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, knows how to build and lead a strong team, and understands that a successful restaurant requires equal attention to the guest experience, the people, and the numbers. Our General Manager is present on the floor, connected with the team, engaged with guests, and accountable for the overall performance of the business.

The Role As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of Bridgemans Bistro. You'll lead the team daily and work closely with the kitchen staff to create an environment where employees can perform at their best and guests want to come back.

Leading, coaching, and developing the restaurant team

Creating a positive, accountable, and professional workplace culture

Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining great people

Managing scheduling and labour costs

Ensuring consistently excellent guest service

Maintaining high standards for cleanliness, organization, and restaurant presentation

Working closely with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth FOH/BOH operations

Managing inventory, purchasing, and cost controls

Monitoring sales, labour, food costs, and other key operating metrics

Identifying opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, and profitability

Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally





Ensuring compliance with liquor, food safety, WorkSafe, and employment requirements

Supporting events, promotions, and initiatives that grow the business

Taking ownership of the restaurant's overall performance

Who We're Looking For You're a confident hospitality leader who can balance people, operations, and financial performance. You know how to set expectations without creating unnecessary drama. You're comfortable making decisions, solving problems, coaching employees, and jumping in when the restaurant gets busy. Ideally, you bring:

Previous restaurant management experience, preferably as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior hospitality leader

Strong leadership and people-management skills

A genuine commitment to hospitality and the guest experience

Experience managing labour, scheduling, inventory, and operating costs

A solid understanding of restaurant financials and key performance indicators

Strong communication and organizational skills

The ability to stay calm and make good decisions in a busy environment

Experience recruiting, training, and developing employeesA collaborative approach to working with kitchen leadership





Serving It Right certification, or the ability to obtain it

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
