As a Quality Controller at DeSimone, your principal function will involve conducting meticulous quality reviews under the Dowco Quality Control Program. You’ll be responsible for validating the accuracy of models and providing leadership to detailing teams. Your proactive approach will identify quality issues and steer solutions collaboratively with project managers and design specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute detailed reviews of drawing packages and 3D models • Guarantee compliance with engineering codes and design standards • Communicate quality findings and necessary corrections effectively • Mentor junior detailers and checking staff during projects • Document and report quality-related deficiencies
Requirements: • 6-10 years in structural steel detailing or checking • Strong proficiency with Tekla Structures is essential • Comprehensive knowledge of detailing practices and fabrication codes • Excellent problem-solving and documentation capabilities • Robust communication and mentorship skills
