Shape student learning as a Long Term Occasional Teacher in Planning at the Upper Grand District School Board. This 0.5 FTE position offers you the chance to impact education at Drayton Heights.
You will join a dedicated team working with over 35,000 students across various programs. As a primary or junior educator, you will provide continuous, high-quality instruction during the regular teacher's absence, specifically from September 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Your role is essential in supporting student achievement aligned with Ontario's Ministry of Education standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality education in absence of the regular teacher • Support student achievement and well-being effectively • Collaborate with faculty and staff at Drayton Heights • Adhere to Ontario Ministry of Education standards consistently • Engage in inclusive teaching practices for diverse learners
Requirements: • Certification for Primary and Junior Education • Available afternoons for the assignment schedule • Commitment to inclusive teaching practices • Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check • Previous teaching experience is an asset
