Position Type:

Full-Time with perks, working from the Foundation office in downtown Collingwood with regular meetings outside of office. Occasional work from home flexibility.

Position Summary The Senior Director, Operations is a newly created position responsible for leading the operational excellence, financial oversight and governance support to enable the Foundation to achieve its top priorities, beginning with the transformational Tomorrow’s Hospital campaign. The Senior Director will lead projects that will help grow and shape the future of the Foundation as we undertake the largest fundraising campaign in South Georgian Bay’s history.

With outstanding generalist knowledge, the Senior Director oversees financial management, office administration, donor services operations, governance support, and human resources. The role supports three Board committees and holds key relationships with hospital departments including Finance, People Services and Information Technology.

Reporting to the President & CEO and a member of the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Director currently has one direct report. The projected start date is October/November 2026.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all operational functions of the Foundationto support organizational growth.

Conductfinancial reporting and analysisto inform strategic recommendations for senior leadership,committeesand board.

Collaborate with other departmentsto evaluate,implementandmonitornew technologyto enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service excellence.

Develop, implement, and evaluate operational policies, procedures, and best practices.

Establish andmaintainappropriate internalcontrols and risk management processes.

Lead, mentor, and develop direct and indirect reports.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and gratitude.

Financial Management

Serve as the senior liaison between the Foundation and Hospital Finance department.

Leadthedevelopment and monitoring of the Foundation's annual budget.

Oversee gift processing, tax receipting, reconciliations, deposits, and financial administration procedures.





Supervise month-endand year-endfinancial processes and reporting.

Support annual audit activities and ensuretimelycompletion of audit requirementsandcompliance with CRA regulations, accounting standards, and Foundation policies.

Oversee administration of all endowed, restricted, and designated funds, ensuring compliance with donor agreements and fund restrictions, coordinating internal and externalreportingand liaising with investment advisors.

Database Management & OfficeOperations

Oversee all office administration functions and day-to-day operations.

Provide oversight of the Foundation's donor database system, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, security, and adherence to best practices.

Ensuretechnologyand resources effectively support staff productivity.

Support business continuity planning and organizational risk management activities.

Governance & Board Committees

Serve as the senior staff lead supportingboard committees, includingbut notlimited to:

Administration & Finance Committee

Audit Committee

Investment Review Committee

Coordinate follow-up and implementation of committee decisions and action items.

Support policy development, governance best practices, and committee effectiveness.

Human Resources

Serve as the Foundation's primary liaison with the Hospital's People Services departmentinsupportingFoundation humanresourcesfunctions.

Leadrecruitment,onboarding, performance management, compensation administration, and employee relations processes.

Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, organizational policies, and health and safety requirements.

Support employee learning, development, and succession planning initiatives.

Assist the President & CEO with workforce planning and organizational development activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum5-7years of progressive leadership experience in operations,



administration,fundraising,donorservicesorfinance.

Experience supporting boards, committees, and governance processes.

Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial processes, and operational systems.

Strong knowledge of CRM/database management systems.

Advancedproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Bonus Points For

Experience in non-profit, hospital or healthcare administration.

Knowledge of charitable sector regulations, donor stewardship standards, and fund administration principlesan asset.

Experience with Raiser’s Edge CRM.

Familiarity with South Georgian Bay communities.

What We Offer

Hiring range is $120,000-125,000
