Durham Community Health Centre seeks a passionate Mental Health Clinician for Youth to provide specialized support in mental health and substance use. This permanent part-time role focuses on evidence-based care tailored for young individuals in need.
You will join the Youth Wellness Hub to deliver impactful, youth-centered psychotherapy to clients aged 12-25. Using a variety of trauma-informed methods, you will engage with youth and their families in both virtual and in-person formats. Collaborating with a diverse team, your contributions will help drive integrated service delivery and enhance program outcomes in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver client-centered counselling addressing youth mental health • Participate in inter-professional care conferences and discussions • Collaborate with external agencies for seamless referrals • Develop and implement substance use programs for youth • Engage in ongoing professional development and quality initiatives
Requirements: • Master’s degree in Social Work or related discipline preferred • Minimum two years of experience working with youth • Robust knowledge of mental health and addiction strategies • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend hours
