As an Operator in Training (OIT), you will assist in the operation of the LRWRP and LRPCP plants under the guidance of certified operators. This full-time role requires a strong foundation in mechanical comprehension and adherence to safety regulations. You will participate in preventative maintenance, monitor processes, and input data for plant records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in operating wastewater treatment plants under supervision • Perform equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties • Monitor and adjust plant equipment as directed • Log and report data for plant performance • Comply with safety regulations and assist Environmental Services
Requirements: • Ontario Secondary School Diploma and post-secondary education • Pass required exams for advancement in certification • Valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s License • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act • Physical ability to perform required tasks
