Become a Community Housing Support Worker with Bonaventure Support Services in Parksville. This full-time role supports diverse individuals overnight, enhancing their daily living and community engagement.
Available Friday through Monday, this position entails working under a Program Manager’s guidance to build trust while promoting independence. You will contribute to meaningful daily routines and provide mentorship, ensuring holistic care by collaborating with community partners. Strength and compassion are key to facilitating their participation in life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist youth and adults with personal and daily living tasks
• Promote skills that encourage dignity and independence
• Use behavior strategies and crisis intervention techniques




• Work with families and community partners for proper support
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all individuals supported
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Social Services or equivalent
• BC Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
• Solid communication and problem-solving capabilities
• First Aid with CPR certification and Food Safe Level 1
• Experience with diverse abilities is preferred
