Make a difference in mental health care with the Saskatchewan Health Authority as a full time Social Worker in Buffalo Narrows. This role is integral to supporting children and youth through community mental health services.
In the capacity of a BSW Social Worker, your focus will be on providing counseling, education, and advocacy within the Children's Exposed to Violence Program. You will work collaboratively, enhancing mental health support across vulnerable communities while employing strong clinical judgment and cultural sensitivity. Your contributions will drive meaningful improvements in residents' quality of health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver community-based counseling to at-risk youth • Facilitate mental health public education initiatives • Advocate for improved client resources and support • Exhibit strong clinical judgment in intervention methodologies • Manage workload independently, ensuring effective service delivery
Requirements: • Baccalaureate of Social Work degree • Experience in mental health treatment services • Valid Class 5 driver's license • Active membership with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers • Familiarity with family dynamics and trauma recovery
