The Academic Advisor serves as a crucial link between students and the university, assisting with academic planning and student support services. You will engage with students at various UFV campuses, providing a collaborative and inclusive advising approach. Skills in written communication, presentation, and knowledge of student needs will be key to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct interviews for academic assessments and planning
• Deliver workshops and outreach initiatives to inform students
• Configure success strategies tailored to individual student needs




• Collaborate with departmental services to improve student experience
• Interpret academic policies and program changes effectively
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory
• At least 2 years of advising experience in higher education
• Graduate credentials or certificates are desirable
• Proven skills in communication and relationship building
• Familiarity with advising tools such as Banner preferable
