Lead with empathy as the House Leader at L’Arche Homefires in Emmaus House, fostering a caring environment for individuals with and without developmental disabilities. This full-time role requires dedication to community and personal growth.
As the House Leader, you will implement L’Arche’s values by promoting teamwork and community engagement. In this role, you will support core members in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. With operational tasks included, your leadership will guide assistants and foster positive household dynamics in a structured workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote L’Arche’s mission and ensure adherence to policies • Encourage inclusive celebrations and support core member activities • Supervise personal care and daily living routines • Foster team relationships and manage tensions effectively • Oversee administrative and operational tasks, including payroll
Requirements: • Knowledge of L’Arche history and values an asset • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required • Strong organizational and time management skills needed • Valid CPR and First Aid certification necessary • Ability to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 35 lbs
