The Parks and Recreation Department seeks an energetic coordinator who will assess and develop recreational activities for seniors in a historical and diverse city. You will manage full-time and part-time staff, coordinate with volunteers, and implement engaging programs across the municipality. This role demands independence and collaboration with various departments to meet strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate community needs for senior programming • Manage operations at Century House effectively • Plan, supervise,
and support staff and volunteers • Work with senior committees to enhance program offerings • Develop and maintain community relationships
Requirements: • Degree in Recreation or Gerontology with practical experience • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required • Standard First Aid and CPR Level "C/AED" • Ability to pass Police Information Check • Flexibility for evening and weekend work
