Transform maternity care as a Health Coach with the First Nations Health Authority in Campbell River. Provide vital support to families during their perinatal journeys.
In this permanent full time position, you will work alongside the Kwakwaka’wakw Maternal, Child and Family Health team to enhance maternal health outcomes for Indigenous families. Your role includes facilitating wraparound care and ensuring families have access to cultural resources. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence community health while honoring Indigenous traditions and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Empower families during their perinatal journey with guidance • Collaborate with local stakeholders in maternity care • Enable access to knowledge keepers and cultural supports • Advocate for comprehensive family health services • Engage in initiatives to improve maternal health care
Requirements: • Bachelor of Social Work required; equivalent experience accepted • Registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers • Class 5 BC Driver’s License mandatory • Familiarity with First Nations health care practices • Willingness to attend cultural safety training sessions
