As a Recreation Facility Worker, you'll play a key role in ensuring a welcoming setting for our community by upholding high standards of cleanliness and assisting with minor maintenance tasks. How you'll own it
Maintain cleanliness of recreation facilities according to Standard Operating Procedures. Perform minor building repairs and routine preventative maintenance tasks. Assist Facility Operators with ice resurfacing, equipment maintenance, pool cleaning, and other operational duties. Document and report necessary repairs or potential issues to the Senior Facility Operator. Provide information and assist facility users with operational questions, ensuring a positive experience. Contribute to the overall security and safety of the facility and its users. What you bring
Knowledge of custodial techniques, cleaning equipment, and cleaning supplies. Basic understanding of building systems and general maintenance principles. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with power and hand tools. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and the public. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work with limited supervision.
A commitment to safety, including wearing CSA-approved footwear while on shift. Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work an ongoing flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and irregular hours. Qualifications
Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent high school diploma. Minimum of three (3) months of relevant experience in aquatic, dryland, and ice recreation facility operations. Demonstrated working knowledge and ability to use power and hand tools and equipment. Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record. Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates are required. This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen. An equivalent combination of Management approved training and experience may be considered. Why you'll love working with us
