Reporting to the Manager of Recreation and Therapeutic Programs, this Licensed Practical Nurse position emphasizes person-centered care. You will manage client records, coordinate care plans, and ensure the well-being of participants in the Adult Day Program. Direct care responsibilities include administering medications and personal care while guiding staff under the Director of Care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support NVS Model of Service and lead staff training
• Manage client admissions and assess care needs
• Administer medications and provide personal care
• Monitor compliance of client records with standards
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and training
Requirements:
• Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing Program
• Valid BC Practical Nurse license in positive standing
• Minimum one year experience in long-term care
• Effective communication and work organization skills
• Physical ability to perform nursing duties
