The successful candidate will be a strategic development leader and accomplished fundraiser, responsible for shaping and leading a national fundraising entity in support of the company's significant cultural institutions. This role involves working closely with the Foundation's Board of Directors and the President and CEO of the company to establish and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The President will be the public face of the Foundation, articulating the value of the institutions to donors, partners, and volunteers, and will be expected to foster a culture of accountability and shared purpose. Key responsibilities include driving the planning and launch of a comprehensive fundraising campaign, designing a strong case for support,



and ensuring the Foundation's operations are in line with best practices for philanthropic entities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in securing major gifts and leading campaigns. They should be adept at building and managing high-performing fundraising teams, as well as cultivating relationships with donors, corporations, and government partners. The role requires a visionary leader with solid communication skills, the ability to work effectively with a highly engaged Board, and a commitment to the values of the company, including equity, diversity, and inclusion. Experience in a cultural, educational, or Crown corporation environment is an asset, and proficiency in both English and French is highly valued. The President will also be responsible for the Foundation's governance, compliance, and financial management, and must be adept at strategic planning and have a strong understanding of philanthropic best practices.
