Founded in 1950, Normand.ca is a Canadian leader in the industrial distribution and retail sale of machinery, tooling and supplies for secondary wood processing.
We are currently seeking a candidate to fill the following position:
NORMAND is a nationally recognized company that has been providing the secondary wood manufacturing industry with a complete range of machinery, tooling, and industrial supplies for more than 75 years.
At the heart of our aftersales service department, you will serve as the primary technical resource for our customers, service technicians, and manufacturers. Your role will involve coordinating service requests, assisting with technical troubleshooting, advising customers, and ensuring diligent follow-up on service cases. You will also act as a key resource for CNC equipment operation and actively participate in equipment demonstrations and customer training sessions conducted in our demonstration center.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze service requests and assist in diagnosing technical issues.
- Coordinate and follow up on aftersales service cases and service interventions.
- Maintain effective communication between customers, technicians, and manufacturers.
- Identify required replacement parts and prepare quotations for customers.
- Manage warranty claims and supplier-related service issues.
- Coordinate equipment installations and support customers during equipment preparation and startup.
- Act as a resource person for the operation and use of CNC equipment.
- Plan and conduct demonstrations of equipment available in the demonstration area.
- Provide customer training on the operation, maintenance, and best practices related to equipment sold by Normand.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, automation, CNC machining, or another relevant technical discipline.
- Experience in aftersales service, technical support, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with the operation, programming, or technical support of CNC equipment, along with the ability to train and support users.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Robust customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and service cases while balancing priorities.
- Proficient with computer systems and comfortable reading technical documentation.
- Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written, to communicate with suppliers and review technical documentation.
