This role at CUPE level 05 is essential for maintaining operational efficiency in the Medical Device Reprocessing department. You will be responsible for essential tasks including collection, decontamination, and sterilization of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise will enhance patient care across various surgical and clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities:



• Collect and return contaminated instruments to MDR • Perform cleaning of surgical instruments and other equipment • Operate washer-disinfectors and sterilizers as needed • Monitor sterilization parameters and document testing • Prepare surgical case carts and replenish medical supplies

Requirements: • College certification in Sterile Supply Processing • Minimum 1 year hospital experience in sterile processing • CSA certification required within 1 year • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset • Ability to lift 25lbs and effectively communicate
