Join Consor as an Archaeological Field Technician, where you'll perform fieldwork across southern Ontario. Engage in surveys, excavations, and collaborate with Indigenous communities, offering vital support to our archaeological projects.
We are looking for reliable individuals ready to gain hands-on experience in archaeological methodologies. This field technician role involves participating in all stages of archaeological work, assisting with artifact collection, documentation, and ensuring safety on-site. You'll contribute to impactful projects while benefiting from mentorship and skilled growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Stage 2 surveys and Stage 3 test excavations • Assist with artifact identification and documentation • Excavate soil and move equipment as needed • Collaborate with Field Supervisors in daily tasks • Work respectfully with Indigenous representatives
Requirements: • Experience in physically demanding outdoor work • Ability to lift heavy loads and hike long distances • Valid Ontario driver’s license preferred • Effective communication skills • Reliable and punctual work ethic
