In this on-site, casual role, the Recovery Room Nurse will ensure patient safety and comfort following surgery. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing post-anesthesia side effects, and providing education to patients and families. You will work alongside surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring a coordinated approach to post-operative care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in recovery room
• Monitor and assess vital signs post-surgery
• Respond to acute changes in patient conditions
• Document care and communicate with healthcare team
• Educate families on recovery protocols
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ontario
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certification necessary
• Previous PACU or ICU nursing experience
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
