Our client is seeking a smart, passionate Hotel Assistant Operations Manager for a great opportunity with a fantastic, well-established full-service hotel in Northern British Columbia.

This individual will be all things to all people; Independent, but also a team player. They must have a strong background in room operations and F&B; and must have a very hands-on management style. Previous experience in a similar hotel management role is a must. Excellent service is everything these days, along with strong follow-up skills that are essential to winning repeat customers.

The Hotel Assistant Operations Manager will be expected to be on hand to welcome guests and to take care of their needs. Must be able to communicate well in both written and verbal communication, as well as articulate tasks and interact closely with the General Manager in overseeing and leading all daily hotel operations, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and the highest standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

You will ensure successful setup and execution of the operation and will be expected to lead by example every day; you must be able to communicate well and interact closely with both the guests and the staff. They should also be passionate about the changes that come with it as the hotel amenities change seasonally throughout the year.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, management and direction to all departments

• Oversee forecasting/ budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of Room and F&B; outlets, ensuring revenue targets and profitability goals are achieved.

• Focus on exceeding guest expectations daily and on improving established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees

• Review, develop and implement policies &; procedures that strengthen the team and improve the customer experience

• Participate in the recruitment, performance evaluation, training and career development of all Rooms Division and F&B; personnel, supervisors, and managers.





• Protect the property and its assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program, resulting in employee and guest safety, orderly operations, compliance with legislative standards and company expectations

• Oversee forecasting/ budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of Room and F&B; outlets, ensuring revenue targets and profitability goals are achieved.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A true passion and appreciation for the outdoors to live and work in Northern BC. is essential for success in this role.

• Must have a minimum 3–5 years of progressive senior leadership experience in hotel and restaurant management and operations. (Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, preferred).

• Must be a versatile and multi-skilled professional who is passionate about providing personal service to Front Desk, housekeeping, restaurant, bar lounge, liquor store, catering and banquet services, and the in-house hotel guest shop.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Food and Beverage operations, budgeting, and revenue management. Excellent knowledge of liquor operations, wine, sprits and mixology.

• Able to work well with a team and has a proven track record of strong managerial skills

• Willing to accept feedback to ensure their goals are aligned with the team and hotel mission

• A service-driven individual dedicated to the guest and employment experience

• Maintain strict compliance with all food safety, health, licensing, and building regulations.

• Ensure all operational systems—including POS, inventory control, and reporting—are maintained and utilized effectively.

• Be prepared to roll up their sleeves, support all front-line staff, be willing to jump in to assist, leading by example

This company will offer an excellent starting salary of up to $80,000 per year,



a subsidized group medical and dental plan with complimentary use of the fitness center, and food discounts. Temporary accommodation will be offered (not suitable for children) until you find your own accommodation. Please note that for this role you must have your own transportation to work in this area of Northern British Columbia
