- Establish schedule baselines and regularly update actual progress, forecasts, and remaining durations.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays, constraints, schedule risks, and critical-path impacts.
- Perform critical-path and schedule analysis and provide clear information to Project Managers regarding emerging schedule issues.
- Support project forecasting, look-ahead planning, resource planning, and progress measurement.
- Prepare weekly and monthly schedule updates, progress reports, milestone reports,

- Ensure schedule logic accurately reflects the project execution strategy and current project status.
- Track engineering deliverables, key decision dates, procurement milestones, and other project commitments.
- Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling information and analysis to support project decisions.
- Maintain accurate schedule documentation, assumptions, revisions, and supporting project controls information.
- Support continuous improvement of planning, scheduling, and project controls processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Approximately 5–10 years of planning and scheduling experience, preferably within engineering, EPC/EPCM, mining, mineral processing, metals, heavy industrial, or related project environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P3 is mandatory.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and updating detailed project schedules.
- Strong understanding of scheduling fundamentals, including:
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Schedule logic and dependencies
- Baseline schedules
- Progress measurement
- Forecasting
- Milestone tracking
- Schedule variance and trend analysis

- Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects and working with Project Managers and technical discipline leads.
- Ability to interpret project scope, engineering deliverables, execution plans, and project milestones and translate them into effective schedules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and project schedules in a consulting/project environment.
- Must be located in Vancouver, Greater Vancouver, or the Fraser Valley and able to attend the North Vancouver office as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience with mining, minerals processing, metals, or heavy industrial projects.
- Experience within an engineering consulting or EPC/EPCM organization.
- Exposure to engineering, procurement, and construction project lifecycles.
- Experience with project controls, cost control, earned value, resource loading, or progress measurement would be considered an asset.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a practical, detail-oriented planner/scheduler who can work effectively with both project management and multidisciplinary engineering teams. They understand that a project schedule is not simply a reporting tool but an active project-management tool used to identify constraints, anticipate schedule impacts, establish priorities, and support successful project execution.

This individual will be comfortable working in a technically driven consulting environment, communicating with multiple stakeholders, challenging schedule assumptions when appropriate, and providing Project Managers with reliable information to support timely decisions.

Primavera P3 and Microsoft Office experience are mandatory requirements for this position.
