Drive advancements in life sciences as a Senior Microbiologist with Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation in Edmonton, Alberta. This full-time on-site position is dedicated to sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing and microbiology practices.
As part of API's Canadian Critical Drug Initiative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring microbiological operations adhere to leading regulatory standards. Your leadership will help qualify a new microbiology lab at the Critical Medicines Production Centre, enhancing the facility's ability to meet critical drug production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead qualification and implementation of microbiological systems • Conduct microbial environmental monitoring and testing • Mentor team members in aseptic and best laboratory practices • Develop standard operating procedures for laboratory operations • Analyze and report microbiological data for compliance
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related discipline • 3+ years in a sterile product manufacturing setting • In-depth knowledge of GMP and Best Practices • Experience conducting endotoxin testing and investigations • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
