As the Administrative Assistant, you will directly assist the Executive Director, manage operations at the Gathering Place, and support Indigenous student initiatives. With a focus on providing a welcoming environment, your organizational skills will help coordinate activities, respond to inquiries, and enhance the quality of services provided to students. Your engagement with the Indigenous community will be pivotal in promoting inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome and assist visitors at the Gathering Place
• Maintain schedules for the IEI team and executive
• Organize meetings, events,



and resources
• Oversee the community kitchen for student use
• Assist in compiling and preparing reports
Requirements:
• 3 years’ experience in administrative support
• Familiarity with Indigenous cultures and issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Preferred qualifications in Indigenous Studies or related fields
