This rewarding part time position is dedicated to helping individuals facing substance use issues. You will act as a first point of contact, building rapport and fostering a judgment-free atmosphere. The role demands sensitivity, effective communication, and a commitment to our core values of compassion and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome participants and establish trust from day one
• Implement strategies for de-escalation in critical situations
• Use personal experiences to connect with participants




• Maintain a manageable caseload and assist with program entry
• Comply with confidentiality as per PHIPA regulations
Requirements:
• Must have lived experience with substance use issues
• Educational background in social services or similar fields
• Familiarity with local support resources and programs
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems under pressure
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
