LifeLabs is seeking a Lab Patient Technician to provide essential patient services across multiple locations. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with patients and ensuring their comfort during the specimen collection process. This position includes occasional Saturday shifts and will require reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and explain test protocols
• Execute phlebotomies and special test collections
• Maintain thorough client interaction and follow-up
• Handle data entry for patient and requisition information
• Prepare specimens for transportation accurately
Requirements:
• Completed Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent preferred
• Phlebotomy and ECG training is beneficial
• Excellent verbal communication skills required
• Solid customer service orientation and empathy
• Ability to uphold patient privacy at all times
