Lead Speech, Language, and Communication initiatives at Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Drive innovative, evidence-informed practices for student achievement and well-being from October 2026 onward.
Reporting to the Manager of Psychological Services, the Supervisor will oversee Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants, enhancing inclusive service delivery across diverse educational environments. This leadership role requires a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and a background in supervision, mentorship, and capacity building to ensure effective and equitable support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical and consultative leadership to Speech-Language Pathologists
• Coordinate staff assignments and manage service delivery
• Lead departmental planning and improvement initiatives
• Implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) for effective interventions
• Promote communication-accessible learning environments
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in education
• Demonstrated leadership in mentorship and supervision
• Knowledge of AAC and service delivery models
• Solid communications skills and commitment to equity
