Lead outreach initiatives as the Engagement Librarian at Angus L. Macdonald Library, St. Francis Xavier University. Foster partnerships and support diverse student communities during this limited-term role.

StFX is seeking a collaborative librarian to enhance outreach efforts at the Angus L. Macdonald Library. You will work closely with diverse campus populations, including Indigenous, Black, and first-generation students. This position requires proactive programming, social media management, and promoting library services effectively to support academic success.

Key Responsibilities:



• Develop partnerships for team-oriented outreach programs • Manage library social media and communications strategies • Promote resources and services to students and faculty • Assess and improve the library’s online presence • Organize and host engaging library programming

Requirements: • Master’s degree in Library/Information Studies • Experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives • Capability in providing information literacy instruction • Availability for evening and weekend work • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
