JOB DESCRIPTION Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto) Duration: 12 months Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Product Designer to be an end-to-end dedicated designer on the mobile banking app pillar, responsible for ownership of the design process from discovery, high-fidelity design, accessibility, visual design testing, to release support. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of Canada's Top 5 Banks. Typical Day in role: Supporting the visual creative direction of the mobile banking app, with a keen understanding of both iOS and Android native patterns and interactions. Must-Have Skills: Design Strategy Interaction design + prototyping skills Strong communications and collaboration skills High-quality visual design skills Design system + token/variables Working within an agile environment and its ceremonies, including the use of Jira + Confluence Portfolio that includes application design samples A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms Experience in an applied research setting including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rational and logic; describing benefits andhighlighting risks associated with design decisions Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, UserTesting.Com. Workshop Facilitation Storytelling skills Robust understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase Soft Skills Required: Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to collaborate with other designers and cross-functional team members, ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships.
